Notice of District Annual Meeting by LaGrange County Soil and Water Conservation District (sponsor)
Notice is hereby given to all individuals owning or controlling property within LaGrange County Indiana that the LaGrange County Soil and Water Conservation District is conducting the District Annual Meeting in fulfillment of Indiana State Law as required for special purpose districts pursuant to IC 14-32-4-6. This event is a public meeting for reporting to the public District financial activity for fiscal year 2025; it includes the election of one (1) Supervisor and the appointment of one (1) Supervisor to the LaGrange County SWCD Board of Supervisors. The meeting will be held beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Wolfe Community Building, located at 345 Morton Street, Shipshewana, IN 46565. The meeting will include a catered evening meal, and the program will present the District’s 2025 financial report and accomplishments, activities and functions. There is no cost to attend this public meeting. Seating is limited; the District is requesting all attendees to RSVP by Friday, February 27, 2026, by calling the District office at 260-463-3166 extension 3.

Indiana Waterways Inquiry Request
This tool has been developed in partnership with IDEM and DNR. This tool is used to make inquires for projects that could require special permitting such as 401 Water Quality Certifications, Isolated Wetland permits, Construction in a Floodway permits or other construction along streams, lakes, or dams ONLY.
This tool allows the user to submit a proposed project to check for permit requirements. THIS TOOL IS NOT A PERMIT APPLICATION. This tool helps determine what permits may be required for certain projects. Indiana Waterways Inquiry Request
Indiana Construction Stormwater General Permits Notice of Intent.
To File a SWPPP plan for the SWCD to review, plans must be submitted hard copy either by mail or dropped off at the office. There is no fee or application to submit plans for a review.
Indiana Construction Stormwater General Permits, (Rule 5) require projects that are 1 acre or larger to have an erosion control plan on file with the LaGrange County Soil & Water District. Projects that have been reviewed require a Notice of Intent (NOI). This allows landowners near the project site Legal Notice of Intents for any developments that fall within the stated criteria.
